BTT had the pleasure of attending a great event this weekend in Atlanta. Entrepreneur, relality T.V. star, and music mogul, Kandi Burruss held her first ever “Empower The Business Woman Masterclass”. The event was held at the Woodruff Arts Center on Sunday April 11, 2015.

The motivational and empowering event accommodated over 120 women who were eager to hear from two separate panels handpicked by Kandi and her team. The speakers included Dr Kim Ventus- Darks, Andra Hall, Brandi Hunter, Myleik Teele, Miko Branch, Shanti Das and Mona Scott Young. The event was moderated by Claudia Jordan.

All of these women are successful in their own right and were all an inspiration through telling their own stories, sharing their pitfalls, and encouraging attendees to do great this admist the struggles of pursuing their dreams.

Dr. Kim Ventus-Dark opened the event with a riveting and soul rumbling message to the attendees. During a portion of the event , Kandi held a “Shark Tank” like contest which led to her awarding four entrepreneurs seed money in the sum of $1500. Kandi later addressed rumors of an spin-off show to feature her and her new husband Todd, and clarified that a new special entitled “Kandi’s Family Vacation” will be airing directly after the upcoming RHOA reunion episode. Mona Scott-Young also went on to express her excitement abou the new season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and in addition to that Yandy’s Wedding Special will be airing on May 25,2015 on VH1 but that her biggest and most anticpated project is her son beginning his college journey.

Oh and how could we forget the appearance of Mama Joyce who joined the panel and gave her impromptu two cents on issues that effect female entrepreneurs and ruffling feathers and entertaining all in one.

Overall this event was empowering, entertaining, and necessary for those of us chasing our dreams and serving our passions. We would recommend that anyone who is looking for guidance, encouragement, and insight on how to get started or to move to the next level in your business, dream, or even your life attend this HOT event!
