5 Signs That You Are Depressed

Many people, young people especially, don't understand how important it is to know when and if you are depressed and if so what do to about.
I've struggled with depression most of my adult life and probably as a teenager, but I just didn't know it. When I have told people or just came clean about it, they say, "Your life is great, What do you have to be depressed about?" or "You're always smiling, you can't be depressed". Those things may have been true but wither way, I was battling severe depression at times with no real explanation as to why. If you think that you or someone you know may be suffering from depression, get help and don't be ashamed.
1. Loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities
2. Fatigue and decreased energy
3. Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings
4. Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism
5. Persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment.
