Every Thursday most of us can't wait to cozy up to our televisions to catch the juicy and thrilling story lines revealed on Shona Rhimes’ hit T.V. series Scandal. This past Thursday was no different except to the picture that was painted during the shows season finale.

The season 4 finale echoed the story of slain teen Michael Brown of Ferguson. I was intrigued and moved at how much the facts aligned and at the same time the T.V. depiction gave us all a look into what America would be like if justice was really served and the parent's of Michael Brown and the rest of the world felt some sort of closure after the fact.

Brandon was the fictional character representing the real life Michael Brown, was accused of stealing a cell phone from a convenient store. Moments later he was gunned down by a white police officer who claimed self defense and that he had a knife only late tot learn that he had a racially biased mindset and was guilty of killing Brandon due to his race and that alone and covering up the real details of the murder.

What made the episode so poignant, is what happened after; Justice. The officer was arrested and punished. The world was given an apology and care was taken. Even the president offered an apology, condolences, and a hug to the father of Brandon played by Courtney B. Vance.

.

Kerry Washington tweeted, "“Weeping. As if I hadn’t read it and didn’t act in it. Just weeping,”
