Yesterday was Valentine's Day and I had the pleasure of being sent on a 4 hour spa day from my hunny! His spa of choice was CaraVail's Day Spa in Columbus, Ga and I just had to share my experience with you guys.
I was treated to their deluxe spa package. When I arrived I was about 5 mins early for my appointment and I was greeted by friendly smiles and kind words. I had to fill out two sheets of paper; Standard routine stuff. They has a "meditation room" which is their version of a fancy waiting room which was heavenly. There were refreshments which included assorted chocolate covered strawberries, apple cider, lemon water, and chocolates. The place smelled great and the lighting was dim and relaxing while calming music gently echoed through the halls and different rooms.
My next stop was to the sauna. Steamy and hot, but soothing. I'm not a huge fan of the sauna and I actually took out my phone and googled the benefits of using a sauna to ease my mind and endure the 125 degree temperature. My research revealed that saunas can relieve stress and tension, flush out toxins, and burn calories which was enough for me to relax and enjoy.
Next I was lead to the manicure and pedicure area and I was greeted by my manicurist, Ashley. She was so sweet and we talked while she did my spa mani and pedi.
After that, I know, there's more...I was taken in for my Swedish massage with aroma therapy which was the BEST massage I've ever had in my life. I was fighting falling asleep and even with a hour in there it felt too short. I just wanted to stay and sleep!
My last stop was a facial. Now I am partial to facials. They should relaxing but most facial include some form of pain. All I was thinking was ugh extractions aka this lady popping my pimples, with metal tools lol. It was great. The esthetician was great. We talked like old friends and she explained everything she was doing and why from beginning to end. She even offered recommendations of what I should do in the future to clear up some of some of my skin issues. So much so, I paid $35 for a facial cleanser on my way out of the door.
Overall this experience was very pleasurable. I would recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a getaway and some relaxation. A+
