Spotlight On Fashion: Olori Swank

We all have seen her IG post. If the dictionary has a picture next to the word Trendsetter, her selfie would be plastered all over that thing lol. I have been following her for a while after seeing her on 106 & park, but something always made me want to dig a little deeper into who this blue hair, dark skinned beauty is.

Her style seem effortless, which may be hard to concieve with her eccentric blue tresses and eye catching un repicable looks just begs the question: Who is Olori Swank.

Who Is She

Her claim to fame comes from being a decorated celebrity stylist, who has worked with everyone from Keisha Cole, Draya, Rick Ross, Lance Gross, Dawn Richards, Hosea Chanchez, Childish Gambino, Teyana Taylor, Trey Songz, J. Cole, Wale, and that's just to name a few.

She serves as Fashion Editor for Kraze Magazine, has styled countless videos, runway shows, and more. On top of all that she also teaches a self entitled course on styling!

With all that to solidify her as the most stylish work horse ever...she doesn't stop! She is one of my most influential females to look to for inspiration whether it be style or just work ethic itself.

How She Began

She graduated from the University of Georgia (UGA) with honors, in Biology, Psychology, Pre-Med and as her bio reads, she "walked into what she was meant for" after the right opportunity presented itself to the right person. She went from there and the rest is hard work and history. In 2011, she launched Swankblue.com, an online store full of Swank approved looks and pieces.

Why She Is On My Mind…lol

Her journey is definitely one to be studied and commended. I think alot of times with social media we see these beautiful people in beautiful places doing amazing things and we think UGH--- life ins't fair! But we forget, there is a journey and few successful people become successful without hard work, perseverance, and a journey.
