Name: Destiny Elliott.

Age: 16

Job Title/Position? The ultimate job that I uphold is being a full-time Honors high school student.

Education: G.W. Carver High School.

Q: How did you get into the fashion industry?

A: Getting into the fashion industry initially began within myself. My first step into doing so was by developing my own unique style. Once I had done so, I began to post photos and videos of my looks with captions of them, briefly explaining how and why I dressed myself with a selected clothing. This clever process attracted others to not only me, but my social media sites. People were appalled and amazed as to how someone so young had class as a mature adult. Since then, my supporters ranged outside of the city that I live in, which only flattered me to continue what I’ve started.

Q: What work have you already done?

A: I have been in the entertainment industry for four years, which has permitted me into much work. However, in regards to styling and profiling, the work that I have accomplished was conducting six independent photoshoots, where I became the wardrobe stylist and visualizer on hair, makeup, and the photographer’s duty. This form of leadership has allowed me to pitch in on several photoshoots and video shoots of those who were stunned at my performances.

Q: What inspires your style?

A: What inspires my style is color, pattern, and detailing. While shopping and styling, my eyes never seem to fall on the weirdest item. However, it turns into the craftiest item when it is worn. The risks that I take with fashion inspires me. The compliments that I receive from supporters inspires me. My confidence inspires me. The beautiful world around me inspires me. Culture inspires me.

Q: What advice would you give to someone trying to get his or her foot in the door?

A: The advice that I would give someone trying to get his or her foot in the door is to, first, create within themselves. I always advise people to take the time out and ask themselves, “What do I like? What am I interested in? Who and what do I want to be?” Without self-evaluation, success is clueless. Self-assurance is a standard. Next, I’d encourage one to research the area and field that they’d want to pursue. Then, I’d cheer them to perfect themselves, whether that means by practicing, rehearsing, or remodeling. Lastly, after loving their self and learning their craft, I’d inspire to uphold their goals and knowledge and go out into the world to pursue their destiny.

Q: What projects are you working on (that you can share)?

A: One project I’d share that I am working on is radio show-hosting an upcoming online-internet radio broadcast named ‘The Hype Teens’ on D30Radio.com. I will be broadcasting at the beginning of the month of February, where I’ll be discussing topics as far as health, fashion, and drama. I am excited to be branching my bright talents to several other genres and I look forward to connecting Beez Trendy Treasures to it, as well.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A: In 5 years, I see myself as an International Fashion Runway Model, a young, African American-business owner and entrepreneur of a business, and a college graduate of my major and minor.

Favorite quote: “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.” –Eric Thomas

Any additional comments: I would love to thank Beez Trendy Treasures for their continuous support of my career as a young goal-getter. There isn’t a time that goes by when they don’t grant me the opportunity to work with them on a project. Your belief in me will never go unnoticed, for you all are appreciated and well-desired.
